I am a qualified reflexologist and a member of the British Reflexology Association, with a practise in Harley Street London, in West Kirby and Hoylake in Wirral, Merseyside.
Health is dependant on the balance and maintenance of harmony within the body and mind. Stress, negative emotions and thoughts, lifestyle and diet can cause imbalances in the body and mind, and the outcome can show up as illness, pain or disease.
What is Reflexology ?
Reflexology is a therapeutic modality based on the principle that one small area of the body represents a map of the whole, so that each part of the body is reflected in the feet, hands or ears. In a reflexology treatment, pressure is applied to these reflex areas in the feet, hands or ears, to induce a state of relaxation and in so doing reflexology encourages homeostasis of all systems of the body through the reduction of the effects of stress, and by enabling deep relaxation helping restore health and maintain wellbeing by stimulating the inherent self-healing capabilities of the body, not only on a physical level but mentally and emotionally too. Reflexology is therefore a perfect antidote to stress.
